El Shaddai…God Almighty…the God of Abraham, had promised to Abraham, in the 99th year of his life, that he and his wife, 90 years old, would conceive a son.  Abraham’s faith in God, Who promised, was severely challenged. That’s when God announced Himself as “Yahweh, God Almighty”…because Abraham needed to know, and to believe, that His God was All-Powerful…mighty enough to keep His promise (Genesis 17:1).  And, of course, He did.  God Almighty…El Shaddai…always can, and always will.  You can trust Him to be your Almighty God as well.

Psalm 91:1-2

1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of The Almighty. 2 I will say to the LORD, “My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!”
