Some of us have been going through the sad, human process of the death of a dear loved one.  I know it may sound strange…but we know that death is a part of life.  We, however, who have trusted in Jesus are instructed by God, through Paul in Thessalonians, that we can grieve for those who have passed from this life to the next…but that we must not grieve as those who have no hope.  How?  We need to embrace the perspective of our God on the death those who belong to Him by faith in His Son, Jesus.  That perspective is found in the verse below from the book of Psalms.  If it is precious to God…it can be…it must become, precious to us as well.  Selah!

Psalm 116:15

Precious in the sight of the LORD Is the death of His godly ones.

John 14:2-3

2 “In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. 3 “If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.

“Just think of stepping on shore, and finding it heaven

Of touching a hand, and finding it God’s

Of breathing new air, and finding it celestial

Of waking up in Glory, and finding it ‘Home.'” ~ Don Wyrtzen

The Lord bless you and keep you…
