If you’re not careful, these days, you might come down with a case of “in-grown eyeballs.” What I mean is that you might lose your spiritual focus and go from being others-centered to being self-centered. Not good. Now, more than ever before, we need to keep our focus on ministry to others for Jesus’ sake. Look up, look out, look around…not within.
Philippians 2;3-4
Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; 4 do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.
1 Peter 4:8-10
8 Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins. 9 Be hospitable to one another without complaint. 10 As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
“Often our disappointments and fears cause us to become self-centered and demanding people, when our real need is to become more loving and compassionate toward one another.” ~ David Jeremiah
