As a child, if I was frightened, say, by a thunderstorm…especially in the night, I instinctively wanted to be with my Dad.  I would call out for him: “Daddy!”…and he would come and get me…and calm me…and reassure me that things would be okay.  That name represented everything that he was to me.  He was strong.  He was my protector…my security.  The same thing is even more true of God, our Father.  He is our “Abba”…our “Daddy.”  We call upon His Great Name and He is always there for us.  Call out His Name…anytime!

Proverbs 18:10

The Name of the LORD is a strong tower; The righteous runs into it and is safe.

Isaiah 25:1 & 4

1 O LORD, You are my God; I will exalt You, I will give thanks to Your Name; For You have worked wonders, Plans formed long ago, with perfect faithfulness…4 For You have been a defense for the helpless, A defense for the needy in his distress, A refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat.

“A mighty fortress is our God, a bulwark never failing; our helper He amid the flood of mortal ills prevailing.” ~ Martin Luther

The Lord bless you and keep you…
