A child turning to Jesus for forgiveness of sin and salvation in Jesus is absolutely precious…and a great blessing. One of the greatest aspects of blessing is the fact that, because of God’s great mercy and grace, that child will not struggle with the memories of a long and wicked past. Many of us had such a sinfully active past before we came into His amazing grace. However, don’t allow yourself to be haunted by your past. It is, indeed, forgiven…removed…completely blotted off of the eternal record. That is truth that we must gladly accept and move forward, victorious, in His great forgiveness!
Psalm 103:10-12
10 He has not dealt with us according to our sins, Nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. 11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth, So great is His lovingkindness toward those who fear Him. 12 As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us.
Philippians 3:13-14
13 But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
