We are challenged, on a daily basis, to trust completely in our sovereign God…some days more than others.  This includes those times when the decisions of men impact us greatly, whether we agree with them or not.  It is especially challenging, when we do not…when those decisions would even cause us harm.  That’s when we must really dig deep within and cling to God…believing that He is also in complete control in those situations as well, even though we don’t understand what He is doing.  We must continually, prayerfully, cast all of our cares and concerns about the actions of others squarely into His strong hands, and in humility, act in accordance to His Word.

Proverbs 21:1

The king’s heart (as well as the hearts of all who are in authority) is like channels of water in the hand of the LORD; He turns it wherever He wishes.

1 Peter 5:6-7

6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, 7 casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.

“If God is not sovereign in the decisions and actions of other people as they affect us, then there is a whole major area of our lives where we cannot trust God; where we are left, so to speak, to fend for ourselves.” ~ Jerry Bridges

“If we need the protection of men, let us first ask it from God. If we prevail with Him, the power of the most mighty and of the most wicked must minister to our relief.” ~ Alexander Carson

The Lord bless you and keep you…
