As God’s people, we should be hard workers…diligent workers…striving always to give our best in everything. Of course, the key to this is keeping our motivational focus straight. We do not work in order to impress man. We work, first and foremost to please God…to worship God. In that way, our work will accomplish His purpose and have His desired impact on others. Remember: “Give of your best to the Master; Give Him first place in your heart; Give Him first place in your service, Consecrate every part (Howard B. Grose).”

Colossians 1:18

[Christ] is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything.
