Back in the late 1800s, lyricist Mary Kidder began the first verse of one of her hymns with a most penetrating and probing question: “Ere you left your room this morning, did you think to pray?” There is so much that the believer in Jesus could, and should, accomplish for His sake today, but we must not attempt it without first humbly seeking His will, His power, and His enablement…through prayer.
Ephesians 6:18
With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints.
