Yesterday, I was reminded of something I shared with you several years ago and thought it might be valuable to share again…a modern parable written by Dr. Charles Swindoll.  As it did the first time, the words struck home to my heart as to how they relate to God’s call of service to ALL of us, not just some of us.  Here it is again for your consideration…

•             “This is a story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody and Nobody. There was an important job to do and Everybody was asked to do it. Everybody was sure Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry because it was Everybody’s job. Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn’t do it. It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.”

Isaiah 6:8

Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!”

“God did not direct His call to Isaiah— Isaiah overheard God saying,

“…who will go for Us?” The call of God is not just for a select few but for everyone. Whether I hear God’s call or not depends on the condition of my ears, and exactly what I hear depends upon my spiritual attitude.” ~ Oswald Chambers

The Lord bless you and keep you…
