Many of us live in places that occasionally encounter severe storms…sometimes with tornadoes. The weather broadcasters try to give us forewarnings and exhort us to take shelter in a place of safety.

In the process of life, the Christian encounters times of great struggle and difficulty that we call “storms.” When those times come, we are exhorted to take shelter…in Jesus. Yes, Jesus is our Shelter in the time of “storm.”

Psalm 5:11-12

11 But let all who take refuge in You be glad,

Let them ever sing for joy;

And may You shelter them,

That those who love Your name may exult in You.

12 For it is You who blesses the righteous man, O Lord,

You surround him with favor as with a shield.

“The Lord’s our Rock; in Him we hide, A Shelter in the time of storm;

Secure whatever ill betide, A Shelter in the time of storm!” ~ Vernon Charlesworth

The Lord bless you and keep you…
