Do you sometimes become fixated on the past…especially the failures of the past. We all do that from time to time and the results are predictable. When you get stuck focusing on where you’ve been, it’s extremely difficult to move forward to where you need to be…to get to where God wants to take you. Obviously, you can’t change the past. You can’t have a “do over”…and you don’t need one. Learn from the past…then leave the past in the past and let God take you forward according to His perfect will.

Job 17:9 (NLT)

The righteous keep moving forward, and those with clean hands become stronger and stronger.

Philippians 3:13-14

13 But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

“You do not move ahead by constantly looking in a rear view mirror. The past is a rudder to guide you, not an anchor to drag you. We must learn from the past but not live in the past.” ~ Warren Wiersbe

The Lord bless you and keep you…

Friday’s Scripture reference was incorrect. It was 2 Corinthians 7:9-10.
