So…we all know what tomorrow is.  The question is: Will we sincerely express our thanks to God?  And will we continue to do so on Friday…and the day after that…and the day after that?  Don’t get me wrong!  I love our Thanksgiving celebration. It just needs to be sustained beyond one day, and directed to our Lord, who is a continuously gracious giver. If He sustains the giving, shouldn’t we sustain the giving of thanks to Him? It’s not impossible…in fact, it’s quite doable. It just needs to become intentional.

Psalm 92:1-2

1 It is good to give thanks to the LORD And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; 2 To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning And Your faithfulness by night.

Psalm 100

1 Shout joyfully to the LORD, all the earth. 2 Serve the LORD with gladness; Come before Him with joyful singing. 3 Know that the LORD Himself is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. 4 Enter His gates with thanksgiving And His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name. 5 For the LORD is good; His lovingkindness is everlasting And His faithfulness to all generations.

“Give thanks with a grateful heart; Give thanks to the Holy One; give thanks because He’s given Jesus Christ, His Son. Give thanks!” ~ Henry Smith

Have a blessed Thanksgiving!

Until Monday…The Lord bless you and keep you…
