It is good to remember and to think often about all that Jesus has done for us.  When Jesus taught His disciples how to pray, He told them that one of their petitions to the Father was the request to be delivered…rescued…from evil.  Then, Jesus died on the cross to provide the payment to be our Rescuer. He sacrificed Himself to rescue us eternally from evil…a precious gift of His wonderful grace.

Galatians 1:3-5

3 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, 4 Who gave Himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, 5 to Whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
