His name was Philemon.  He was a believer in Jesus and a good friend of the Apostle Paul.  As you probably know, Paul endured through times of severe hardship, especially while confined in numerous prisons around the Roman Empire.  God used his Christian friends, like Philemon, to be a source of great encouragement and spiritual refreshment to him in the midst of those tough times.  Please consider and invest time in prayer concerning how God might use you in such a way in the life of a fellow believer who may be struggling right now.

Philemon 1:7

For I have come to have much joy and comfort in your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through you, brother.

1 Thessalonians 5:11

Therefore encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing.

“Everyone has the potential to become an encourager. You don’t have to be rich. You don’t have to be a genius. You don’t have to have it all together. All you have to do is care about people and initiate.” ~ John Maxwell

The Lord bless you and keep you…
