Have you ever thought much about the trade that Jesus’ adoptive father, Joseph, taught Him…carpentry?  Jesus learned how to work with wood…to craft things…very useful things…like a perfectly custom-fit yoke for a pair of oxen. That was no easy task…but Jesus diligently applied Himself to His craft and turned out the most excellent wooden products in all of Nazareth.  His work was so fine, that He was referred to as THE carpenter (Mark 6:3)…the definite article acclaiming Him to be a MASTER carpenter.  Truth is: Jesus was, and is, THE Master of everything and everyone.  He created you, and if you’ve trusted in Him, He’s made you into His new creation.  Wonder in and worship Jesus, the Master of all.

2 Corinthians 5:17-18

17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ.

“By a Carpenter mankind was made, and only by that Carpenter can mankind be remade.” ~ Desiderius Erasmus
