Don’t you just love little children?  Now, for some, that’s an “acquired affection.”  For others, it just comes naturally…and for those of us who now also have grandchildren…well, need I say more?  Jesus loved children, and He demonstrated His love for children…not just in words…but in action.  Oh, what it must have been like to receive His hugs and hear His words of blessing. Please consider that as you think about ways that you can be like Jesus.  As God gives you the opportunity, with children of all ages, bless them and encourage them to come to Jesus…for Jesus’ sake.

Mark 10:13-16

13 And they were bringing children to Him so that He might touch them; but the disciples rebuked them. 14 But when Jesus saw this, He was indignant and said to them, “Permit the children to come to Me; do not hinder them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 15 “Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all.” 16 And He took them in His arms and began blessing them, laying His hands on them.

If we don’t encourage children to come to Jesus and teach them to follow Jesus…be very sure: the world will teach them not to.
