The other day I heard a loud “bang” against the window. I looked out and saw nothing…but I couldn’t see the ground just below the window. I opened the door and looked and there, on the ground, just beneath the window, lay a sparrow that hadn’t survived the collision. I was saddened that this seemingly insignificant creation of God had perished…but it reminded me of the words of Jesus concerning God’s great care for His own, by comparison to the sparrows. Never forget…You are of great value to your heavenly Father and He will always take care of you! You have His Word on it!
Matthew 10:29-31 (NLT)
Jesus instructed His disciples…29 “What is the price of two sparrows—one copper coin? But not a single sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it. 30 And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. 31 So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows.”
