Those of us who have trusted in Jesus as Savior know that real life in Christ has only just begun.  The remaining days of our lives will be spent in the victorious pursuit of living a life of saying “NO” to sin and “YES” to God in righteous living as we yield ourselves to the power and control of the indwelling Holy Spirit…a process of spiritual change known as “progressive sanctification”…daily becoming more and more like our Lord, Jesus.  That wonderful, observable, transformation, which He works in us as we work with Him, is powerful assurance that He has indeed saved us!  It creates the “floods of joy” in our souls that Rufus McDaniel wrote about in an old hymn that many of you might know. He wrote: “What a wonderful change in my life has been wrought, since Jesus came into my heart!”  Rejoice and give thanks to Him for what HE is doing in and through you every day!

Romans 12:1

Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.

And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue His work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.
