This has been a year in which God has made us exceedingly aware of one of His greatest blessings to us: the Church…not a building, but a Body…the Body of Christ, the people of God…the family of brothers and sisters in Christ.  Because we cannot go it alone, Jesus, the ever-present Head of His Body, has been growing us together into a family that effectively ministers to one another in times of need…in times like these.  As our need for each other continues, so our active devotion to Him and to each other must continue.

Romans 12:10-15

10 Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor; 11 not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; 12 rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer, 13 contributing to the needs of the saints, practicing hospitality. 14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.

1 Peter 2:4-5

4 And coming to Him as to a living stone which has been rejected by men, but is choice and precious in the sight of God, 5 you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

“The church is not a building made with stone. It is a building made with living flesh. We believers are living stones in God’s temple, and when we come together we constitute a place of worship where God manifests Himself in ways that He cannot manifest Himself when we are alone. Believers become the living temple of God, offering to Him spiritual sacrifices not possible anywhere other than in the assembly of the redeemed church.” ~ John MacArthur

The Lord bless you and keep you…
