We stare certain circumstances in the face.  They only seem to be getting worse, not better.  The icy cold fingers of hopelessness begin to squeeze ever so tightly around our hearts.  Wait!  Stop!  God is!  He is with us…and He is speaking hope into the hopelessness…hope that only He can give…that only He can enact in “doing something new”…something unexpected.  Look to Him, and hope in Him, and always know that He is up to something good!

Isaiah 46:9-10

9 “Remember the former things long past, For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is no one like Me, 10 declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things which have not been done, Saying, ‘My purpose will be established, and I will accomplish all My good pleasure.'”

Isaiah 43:19

“Behold, I [your God] will do something new, Now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, Rivers in the desert.

“Your situation may be as hot and barren as a desert or as forlorn and meaningless as a wasteland. You may be tempted to think ‘There’s no way!’ when someone suggests things could change. All I ask is that you read that verse one more time (Isa. 43:19). Does God lie? Are you an exception? Since He’s been doing ‘a new thing’ in places like drab deserts and wintry wastelands for centuries, I suggest you be on the ready.” ~ Chuck Swindoll
