No matter what the circumstances in our lives, we can, and do, become very busy…even in times like these.  Life never stops!  The same was true for Jesus during His three and a half years of public ministry.  There were always people with needs and they were always looking for Jesus…but Jesus always managed the demands perfectly.  He even knew how to say “No” when the Father led Him in a different direction.  He knew because He took the time to spend time talking to His Father in prayer…and He listened.  To walk in God’s will…and to keep life sane…we must do the same.

Mark 1:35-38

35 In the early morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house, and went away to a secluded place, and was praying there. 36 Simon and his companions searched for Him; 37 they found Him, and said to Him, “Everyone is looking for You.” 38 He said to them, “Let us go somewhere else to the towns nearby, so that I may preach there also; for that is what I came for.”

“Jesus didn’t do it all. Jesus didn’t meet every need. He left people waiting in line to be healed. He left one town to preach to another. He hid away to pray. He got tired. He never interacted with the vast majority of people on the planet. He spent thirty years in training and only three years in ministry. He did not try to do it all.
