If you’re saved by the grace of God through faith in Christ, then you know…or you need to know…that God saved you to change you.  He doesn’t want you to be the same old you.  God wants to transform you into a new and different person than the one you used to be…a person who looks and acts more and more like His Son, Jesus, each and every day.  So…we need to get with His program…otherwise, what’s the point, right?

2 Corinthians 5:14-17

14 For the love of Christ controls us, having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all died; 15 and He died for all, so that they who live might no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf. 16 Therefore from now on we recognize no one according to the flesh; even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him in this way no longer. 17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.

Romans 8:29-30

29 For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30 And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.
