Have you ever thought about how we take some of the greatest words in human language and cheapen them?  Take, for instance, the word “love.”  Sometimes we use it to describe a passion for…food.  “I love pizza!”  Now, don’t get me wrong.  There’s nothing wrong, or sinful, about using the word “love” that way.  And, yes…I can be pretty passionate about a good pizza.  But pizza pales in comparison to the greatest love ever shown to sinful humanity, wouldn’t you say?

John 3:16-17

16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. 17 “For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.

John  15:13

Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.

“How deep the Father’s love for us,

How vast beyond all measure,

That He should give His only Son

To make a wretch His treasure.” ~ Stuart Townend

The Lord bless you and keep you…
