People really do want to make correct decisions in their lives. I mean, really…nobody thinks, “OK…today I’m going to try to make as many bad choices as I can.”  But how do we make far too many plans far too often?  We guess.  “I guess I’ll do this or do that.”  “I guess I’ll just have to do whatever I think is best.”  Not good…and we, who have placed our faith in Jesus, need to consult the Jesus in Whom our faith is placed…trust Him for everything…seek His guidance for every choice…His will for every decision…not just some of them.  After all…we do call Him “Lord,” right?

Psalm 119:58-60

58 With all my heart I want Your blessings. Be merciful as You promised. 59 I pondered the direction of my life, and I turned to follow Your laws. 60 I will hurry, without delay, to obey Your commands.

James 4:13-17

13 Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, and spend a year there and engage in business and make a profit.” 14 Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away. 15 Instead, you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and also do this or that.” 16 But as it is, you boast in your arrogance; all such boasting is evil. 17 Therefore, to one who knows the right thing to do and does not do it, to him it is sin.

Proverbs 3:5-6

5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.
