In the Bible, we are encouraged and exhorted, from Genesis to Revelation, to exercise the privilege and responsibility of PRAYER.  Prayer is an act of humility and worship, as we come to God to say, “I need You, God!” But, in the midst of your praying, be sure to also understand this: Jesus is praying WITH you and FOR you…AT ALL TIMES! Jesus revealed His intercessory practice just prior to the most difficult time in Peter’s life, when Peter heard Jesus tell him, “I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail (Luke 22:32)!” And so, we can be sure, Jesus is right there, praying with us, and for us, as well. We couldn’t have a greater Prayer Warrior on our team!

Romans 8:34

Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us.

Hebrews 7:25

Therefore [Jesus] is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.

“On the basis of His once-for-all cross work, and His own everlasting resurrection life, Christ lives perpetually to intercede for us…The intercessory work of Christ is invaluable to every Christian, for it makes clear that our ongoing acceptance before God is finally grounded in the utter sufficiency of the cross.” ~ Gavin Ortlund
