As human beings, we know that we have a will of our own. As Christians, we know that God has His will, and we know that we must bring our will into conformity with His will in order to live in right relationship with Him and for His best to be accomplished in us and through us. Therefore, Jesus taught us to pray to the Father, “Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. (Matthew 6:10)” May disciplining ourselves to seek and to do His will be our objective today…and every day…for His glory!

Romans 12:1-2

1 Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

1 Timothy 4:7-8

7 Discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness; 8 for bodily discipline is only of little profit, but godliness is profitable for all things, since it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.

“There are no disappointments to those whose wills are buried in the will of God.” ~ Frederick W. Faber
