Numerous are the times in our lives when we want to run to a place of safety. Beloved Christian friend…You have a place of safety to run to…rather…you have a Person of safety, of refuge, to Whom you can and must run. That Person is Yahweh God. He is our Refuge and Strength and, of that, we cannot be reminded too often.

Psalm 46:1, 10 & 11

1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble…[He says,] 10 “Cease striving and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” 11 The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our stronghold.

Psalm 57:1

Be gracious to me, O God, be gracious to me, for my soul takes refuge in You; And in the shadow of Your wings I will take refuge until destruction passes by.
