We must admit, prayer is, at times, a difficult discipline to practice…to consistently and persistently come before God in utter humility and to seek His guidance, confessing that we have absolutely no certainty about what to do.  As hymnwriter, Joseph Scriven, wrote: “O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear, All because we do not carry everything to God in prayer.” We need Him. We need answers, direction, and provision that can only come from our loving Heavenly Father. “What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer.” So, pray…pray now…and pray always.

Psalm 61:1-4

1 Hear my cry, O God; Give heed to my prayer. 2 From the end of the earth I call to You when my heart is faint; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I. 3 For You have been a refuge for me, A tower of strength against the enemy. 4 Let me dwell in Your tent forever; Let me take refuge in the shelter of Your wings.

“Prayer is life passionately wanting, wishing, desiring God’s triumph. Prayer is life striving, toiling everywhere and everywhen for that ultimate victory.” ~ G. Campbell Morgan
