The summer to fall change has occurred. The leaves have gone through their beautiful color changes and fallen to the ground. Winter is just ahead bringing yet another change…and snow (at least for some of us). In this country, other changes are just ahead. That’s because we are blessed, by God, with the privilege and responsibility of casting our votes and participating in the process of determining who our elected officials will be. Between now and tomorrow evening we must pray…vote…and trust God for the outcome.

Romans 13:1b

For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God.

1 Timothy 2:1-3

1 First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. 3 This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior.

James 5:16b
