Yesterday, we praised God for His great grace. “Grace” is receiving a gift from God that is not deserved…like eternal life. God is also merciful. “Mercy” is not receiving from God what we do deserve…like eternal punishment. Let us be thankful and celebrate that, because of God’s compassionate mercy toward us who have believed on His Son, Jesus, we do not receive the punishment that our sins deserve and that, like His grace, His great mercy endures forever!

Psalm 106:1 (NKJV)

Praise the Lord! Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!

For His mercy endures forever.

Ephesians 2:4-5

4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ.

“What riches of kindness He lavished on us

His blood was the payment, His life was the cost

We stood ‘neath a debt we could never afford

Our sins they are many, His mercy is more

Praise the Lord, His mercy is more

Stronger than darkness, new every morn

Our sins they are many, His mercy is more” ~ Matt Papa / Matt Boswell

The Lord bless you and keep you…
