“What did you expect?” That question is usually asked in conversations in somewhat of a negative way. Let’s turn it around today and ask it, in what would be, a more positive light. Let’s ask it with regard to our God and what we ask of Him in prayer…those times when we ask Him for “great things” and He answers by doing just that…something “great!” What did you expect?

Job 9:10

[It is God…] Who does great things, unfathomable, and wondrous works without number.

Psalm 126:3

The Lord has done great things for us; We are glad!

Psalm 5:3 (NLT)

Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord.

Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly.

“So wake the hope that slumbers in my soul

Stir the fire inside and make it glow

I’m trusting in a love that has no end

The Savior of this world has called me “friend”

And I, I’ve been invited with the Son

Oh I, I’ve been invited to come and…

Believe the unbelievable

Receive the inconceivable

And see beyond our wildest imagination

Lord, we come with great expectations.
