A strong storm rolled through the other morning…lots of lightning…lots of thunder…pretty intense. It reminded me of an old hymn we used to sing in church…of Jesus as the anchor of our soul when we encounter the storms of life, which can also be pretty intense.

     “Will your anchor hold in the storms of life,

     when the clouds unfold their wings of strife?

     When the strong tides lift, and the cables strain,

     will your anchor drift, or firm remain?

     We have an anchor that keeps the soul

     steadfast and sure while the billows roll;

     fastened to the Rock which cannot move,

     grounded firm and deep in the Savior’s love!” ~ Priscilla Owens

Praise God that we always have a steadfast Anchor in Christ!

Hebrews 6:19-20

19 We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, 20 where Jesus, who went before us, has entered on our behalf.

“Jesus is no security against life’s storms, but He is perfect security in them.” ~ Unknown

The Lord bless you and keep you…
