Let’s face it: No Christian…no, not one…is exempt from experiencing very difficult days along the way. The Psalmist brothers, the sons of Korah, certainly weren’t, but they knew that God, and only God, could help them. They cried out to the Lord, “O my God, my soul is in despair within me (Psalm 42:6).” We, too, must turn to our God with our down days for He alone is our hope to lift us up in times of trouble.

Psalm 42:8,11

8The Lord will command His lovingkindness in the daytime; And His song will be with me in the night, A prayer to the God of my life…11 Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise Him, my Savior and my God.

“In times of affliction we commonly meet with the sweetest experiences of the love of God.” ~ John Bunyan

The Lord bless you and keep you…
