As we look through the Scriptures in search of the requests which godly men and women would lift up to the Lord in prayer, we find the request of the Psalmist in the verses below. It’s a humble request from one who understood the necessity of the Lord opening our eyes to that which we must see, but which we would not see without His enablement. O Lord, open our eyes.

Psalm 119:17-18

17 Do good to your servant, and I will live; I will obey your word. 18 Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law.

“God, Who probes our deepest thoughts during protracted segments of solitude, opens our eyes to things that need attention.” ~ Chuck Swindoll
