There are many things that we don’t comprehend about God and His mysterious ways. However, we do know that His ways are always completely good, without any question or doubt. A common question concerns how God, who is sovereign and in control over all…who knows the beginning from the end…incorporates the prayers of the believer into his predestined plan. We don’t have to know how. We know God, and God tells us to bring everything to Him in prayer, and to commit it all to His will, and it will be effective. So just pray.

Isaiah 55:8-9

8 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” declares the LORD. 9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts than your thoughts.

James 5:16b

The effective prayer of a righteous person can accomplish much.

A prayer that is never prayed can neither be effective nor accomplish much.
