It’s a word that doesn’t get used much these days…one from days gone by. However, it’s a good word. The word is “winsome.” If a person is generally pleasing and engaging they are said to have a “winsome personality.” When it comes to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with someone, that’s the kind of personality that you want to have…the kind of person you want to be. When you think about it, that word really fits the situation, doesn’t it? Ask the Lord to make you winsome.

Matthew 5:14-16

[Jesus said,] 14 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; 15 nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 “Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.”

1 Peter 3:15-16 (NLT)

You must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it. 16 But do this in a gentle and respectful way.
