The area in which I live was just blessed with a two-day snow fall total of nearly a foot. You might think I’m being sarcastic in using the word “blessed,” but I’m actually being serious. The snowfall provided many with the opportunity to practice “giving” in many creative ways…and to do so “generously,” which our Lord clearly taught to be a blessing to both the giver and the receiver. I encourage you to look for opportunities today to give generously to someone who could benefit greatly from your “gift.”

Luke 6:38

“Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure -pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return.”

Acts 20:35

“In everything I showed you that by working hard in this manner you must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.'”

“Generosity is impossible apart from our love of God and of His people. But with such love, generosity not only is possible but inevitable.” ~ John MacArthur
