Some of us just endured a day of double digit, sub-zero wind chills. Therefore, we’re thankful for the heat sources that God has provided which keep our earthly homes warm and comfortable. However, our earthly homes are nothing compared to what awaits those who have trusted in Jesus in His Father’s house…our Father’s house…a place where we can come in out of the “cold” of this sinful world, to the “warmth” of His everlasting love and life.

John 14:1-3

1 “Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 “In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. 3 “If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.

“In our Father’s house we can…

Come in from the cold…to the heat of the hearth.

Come in from loneliness…to fellowship.

Come in from war…to peace.

Come in from darkness…to light.

Come in from danger…to safety.

Come in from famine…to feast.

Come in from enmity…to friendship.”
