Only two more weeks until Christmas! It is absolutely incomprehensible that God, the Son, was more than willing to take on human flesh and become a man…to number Himself among the human race whom He created. Just amazing. It was His great desire, from eternity past, to come into our sinful world, to become our Savior Redeemer…the sinless One, sacrificed for the sinful many. O, the depth of His unfathomable love for us…full of grace and truth!

John 1:1-3, 10-14

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being…10 He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. 11 He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him. 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, 13 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. 14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.

“It is here, in the thing that happened at the first Christmas, that the most profound unfathomable depths of the Christian revelation lie. God became man; Nothing in fiction is so fantastic as this truth of the incarnation.” ~ J.I. Packer

The Lord bless you and keep you…
