Yesterday was “International Day of Prayer for Persecuted Christians.”  There are many, many, countries in our world that completely ban Christianity within their borders, yet we know that Jesus has His witnesses in each one of those countries.  We must lift them up in prayer continually that God will give them courage and boldness to continue to share the Gospel truth to those who will listen, in spite of the cost.  And, yes, even though it is less appreciated than ever before, here at home, we, too, must continue to be our Lord’s faithful witnesses.  No matter where, eternal lives are at stake!  Let your light shine for Him!

Matthew 5:14-16

14 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; 15 nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 “Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.” ~ Jesus

Ephesians 6:18-20

18 “With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints, 19 and pray on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in proclaiming it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.” ~ Paul

“The light that shines the farthest will shine the brightest at home.” ~ Oswald J. Smith

The Lord bless you and keep you…
