You’ve heard the saying: “Looks can be deceiving.”  You’ve also possibly heard the admonition expressed: “Be real!”  Abraham Lincoln is quoted as saying, “You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time.”  Most importantly, know this: No matter what you have or what others think of you, you can never, never, fool God.  He knows everything about us and we should, therefore, always be a person of humility and integrity. Humble yourself and be real before God!

1 Samuel 16:7

The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.

Hebrews 4:13

And there is no creature hidden from God’s sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do.

James 4:10

Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you.

“Material possessions, winning scores, and great reputations are meaningless in the eyes of the Lord, because He knows what we really are and that is all that matters.” ~ Coach John Wooden
