Are you a “people pleaser”?  It’s a common thing for many people.  Some of us just can’t stand it if we know that someone is unhappy or disappointed with us for some reason.  We should transfer that “pleasing” focus upon our Lord Jesus.  We need to be far more concerned with the answer to the question: “Is Jesus pleased with me?  Is He pleased with what I’m thinking…what I’m saying…what I’m doing…right now?”  In point of fact…if we’re doing what pleases Jesus, everything else will fall right into place.

2 Corinthians 5:9

Therefore we also have as our ambition, whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to Him.

Colossians 5:8-10

8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light 9 (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) 10 and find out what pleases the Lord.

“If you seek first to please God and are satisfied therein, you have but one to please instead of multitudes; and a multitude of masters are harder to please than one.” ~ Richard Baxter
