In times of severe storms…the kind that are life threatening…we are exhorted to take cover in a “safe place.” The same thing is true when it comes to our spiritual life and well-being. We run to our one and only secure refuge from threat and harm…our “safe place”: God.
Psalm 16:1-2
1 Keep me safe, O God, for in You I take refuge. 2 I said to the LORD, “You are my Lord; apart from You I have no good thing.”
