Yesterday we talked about not quitting…especially not quitting on God…that we must manifest the practice of perseverance in our lives…enduring through the issues of life, whatever they may be.  Did you notice that word that pretty consistently accompanies the word perseverance?  It was the word “patient.”  We must exercise patience in perseverance.  We must wait for it…wait for God to do what He is doing to us…work through what He is working in us.  It will not happen in a hurry.  It will happen over time…God’s perfect time.  So…be patient in His process. Don’t be in such a hurry.

Psalm 130:5

I wait for the LORD, my soul does wait, And in His Word do I hope.

Psalm 37:5-7

5 Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, and He will do it. 6 He will bring forth your righteousness as the light And your judgment as the noonday. 7 Rest in the LORD and wait patiently for Him.

“In regard of God, patience is a submission to His sovereignty. To endure a trial, simply because we cannot avoid or resist it, is not Christian patience. But to humbly submit because it is the will of God to inflict the trial, to be silent because the sovereignty of God orders it – is true godly patience.” ~ Stephen Charnock

The Lord bless you and keep you…
