One word in Greek: “Tetelestai!”  Three words in English: “It is finished!”  The word spoken by Jesus from the cross of Calvary.  The cross-work of Jesus the Messiah had been completed…completely completed…and powerfully pronounced by the perfectly sinless Savior: PAID IN FULL!  Therefore…

And the blood of Jesus, God’s Son, cleanses us from all sin…He is Jesus Messiah, the one who is truly righteous. He himself is the sacrifice that atones for our sins—and not only our sins but the sins of all the world.
