God, in His Word…from His heart, implores us to commit and commend ourselves to Him through the humble, worshipful, and vital activity and discipline of prayer.  Come to Him and talk to Him.  Pour out your heart and soul to Him.  He wants to hear from you.  He doesn’t want the conversation to be just one way…just Him, to you, through His Word.  He wants your response to what He has said…your requests for what He will provide.  Sure…He can read your mind, but He wants to hear your voice.  Ask, seek, and knock and He will answer.

Matthew 7:7-8

7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 “For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

1 Timothy 2:5, 6, & 8

5 For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony given at the proper time…8 Therefore I want the men in every place to pray, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and dissension.
