Peter told us, in his letter, that we, Christians, are to develop a serious craving for the Word of God, like a newborn craves its mother’s milk.  But, a word of caution: Don’t let the good routine become a daily rut or a daily rush.  Slow down and savor the Word.  Don’t rush it…stay awhile and meditate on it.  It’s God…speaking to you.  The conversation is personal.

1 Peter 2:2

Like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation.

Psalm 119:15-16

15 I meditate on your precepts and consider your ways. 16 I delight in your decrees; I will not neglect your Word.

“The reason we come away so cold from reading the Word is because we do not warm ourselves at the fire of meditation.” ~ Thomas Watson

The Lord bless you and keep you…
