The chameleon…one of the most interesting and intriguing critters created by God…especially the species that have the ability to change colors…to blend in with their surroundings, to the extent that you don’t see them unless you’re really looking for them.  That’s what they’re famous for…blending in…unnoticeable… indistinguishable.  A Christian should not be a “chameleon.”  A Christian should, in a good way, stand out…be clearly identifiable as one who has Jesus Christ, God, the Holy Spirit, and God, the Father, living within.

Matthew 5:13-16

13 “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men. 14 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; 15 nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 “Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

“Christians should live in the world, but not be filled with it. A ship lives in the water; but if the water gets into the ship, she goes to the bottom. So Christians may live in the world; but if the world gets into them,

they sink.” ~ D.L. Moody
