“Don’t be a quitter!”  Those were the words that would come out of my Dad’s mouth…numerous times in numerous situations…sports, academics. tasks of all kinds.  I would get so discouraged sometimes…but he would implore me to finish whatever I started.  “You’ve got to hang in there and finish the best you can…even if it’s hard…even if you’re losing…finish strong…accomplish something…finish!”  He was right…and he was only echoing God’s same words to us.  Quitters don’t accomplish God’s purpose.  So we must finish…finish strong…finish for His glory!  And…by the way..Jesus set the supreme example. On the darkest day of His exceptional life…thank God…Jesus finished…paid it all…for you, and for me!

John 19:28-30

28 After this, Jesus, knowing that all things had already been accomplished, to fulfill the Scripture, said, “I am thirsty.” 29 A jar full of sour wine was standing there; so they put a sponge full of the sour wine upon a branch of hyssop and brought it up to His mouth. 30 Therefore when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit.

Galatians 6:9

Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary.
