WEEKEND MEDITATION

“Social Distancing”…for now it’s what we could call “the new normal” even though it’s not normal at all.  It doesn’t seem as though we’re built for this kind of seclusion.  To many, it seems to be too radical…over the top…but, for now, it is what our God-ordained leaders (Romans 13:1) believe is best for us in attempting to curb the spread of this virus among us.

So…as believers in Jesus, we need to accept this as God’s will for our lives…for such a time as this. Consider the following words of God to us from the pen of Paul…that this is indeed God’s will for you, and joyfully submit to Him and experience what He wants “…to work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure” (Philippians 2:13).

What good will God work in you in these days?

I encourage you to think on these things.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

16 Rejoice always; 17 pray without ceasing; 18 in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
